1984 Yamaha 9000 series Recording Custom ( 3-piece shell pack). These are the kits Steve Gadd made famous. Birch gives them that focused, punchy studio sound. 100% Birch shells with Real Wood veneer outer ply in satin.. The Real Wood Satin finish was an outer veneer (natural maple-looking) applied over the shell, so what you’re seeing is a veneer finish, not the actual shell construction. Very good overall condition, there are triggers added to the 3 shells, please see photo of the Yamaha badge.
