Courier & Shipping at the Buyer’s Expense :

When it comes to courier and shipping, the buyer typically bears the cost of transportation. This means the buyer is responsible for the shipping fees, including the choice of courier service, delivery timeframes, and any additional costs associated with the delivery process, such as taxes, duties, or custom clearance fees (in the case of international shipments). The seller does not absorb these costs unless otherwise specified in the sale agreement.

This is also how GEARhub pays out earnings directly to vendors—fast, safe, and hassle-free. With Payfast you can track transactions in real-time, get reliable payouts, and give customers peace of mind knowing their payments are secure.

To open a PayFast personal merchant account, go to the Payfast website and click “Sign up” or “Get Started“. You will then provide your basic contact information, select “Individual” as your business type, and fill out the application form. Next, you must upload FICA documents like proof of identity, proof of address, and bank account details to verify your account, which PayFast will review and approve within about a week. 

Step-by-Step Process:

1. Navigate to the PayFast Registration Page: Open your web browser and go to the PayFast website.
   
   
2. Start the Sign-up Process: Find and click on the “Sign up” or “Get Started” button. 
   
   
3. Provide Personal and Contact Details: Enter your email address, create a password, and provide your name and contact number.  
   
   
4. Specify Account Type: When prompted for the business type, select “Individual” or “Sole Proprietorship”. 
   
   
5. Complete the Application Form: Fill out the rest of the required fields on the application, which may include your home address and details about your intended use of the platform.
