Morris Guitars, founded in 1967 by Toshio “Mori” Moridaira in Nagano, Japan is a premier acoustic manufacturer with a reputation that spans from budget-friendly “lawsuit era” copies to world-class, hand-built instruments. Originally a distributor for Fender and Gibson, Moridaira named the company after a nickname he received while visiting the Gibson factory in 1964.
