1972 Fender Jazz Bass

R59500,00

The 1972 Jazz Bass is a “dream bass” for many due to its association with legendary players like Geddy Lee (whose famous main bass is a 1972 model) and the evolving fusion sounds of the era. While “Pre-CBS” (pre-1965) models typically command higher prices, 1972 models are highly sought after by players who prefer the aggressive, mid-heavy “bark” of 70s electronics. This fine example sports a radiant 3-tone sunburst finish & features a 4-bolt neck plate, alder body, and rosewood  fingerboard with white binding and pearl block inlays.

Description

Historical Significance:

1972 is considered a transition year where the pickup spacing changed from 3.6″ to 4″ (from the edge of the bridge). This year is popular among collectors because it retains the 4-bolt neck construction before the full transition to 3-bolt necks later in the 1970s.
